About Us

A traditional, harmonious and
thriving multicultural Macedonian community.

From humble beginnings the festival, now in its seventh year, the festival has grown to become the biggest in the state, with more than 15,000 people attending last year in 2017.

The Macedonian Cultural Food Festival showcases a variety of traditional Macedonian cuisine dating back thousands of years. These traditions have been passed down to generations and generations before them, selling traditional Macedonian foods, both sweet and savoury, supporting local community organisations and volunteers, providing a great opportunity to raise much needed funds. A number of other attractions and entertainment will be featured throughout the day, including children's rides, traditional singing and dancing by a number of local and interstate dancing groups, dressed in traditional Macedonian folk dancing costumes.

We encourage guests to participate in the festival from across all over
Victoria, with dancing groups performing from all over Melbourne, Geelong and last year, 2 groups from the interstate (Sydney and Adelaide). Now in its 7th year, the festival has a reputation of being well organised and very entertaining all through out the day. Attendances grow each year, bringing people to Footscray from all over Victoria, interstate, from all ages and backgrounds.
